Many people are surprised to discover that hypnotherapy techniques can be used very effectively with children from as young as three years old. The truth is children can sometimes be even more receptive to treatments than adults.
This is mainly because children already spend much of their time in a kind of natural ‘trance’ anyway, totally engrossed in whatever activity is preoccupying them at any given moment.
When we observe children listening avidly to an exciting story, absorbed in an engrossing play activity, or glued to the television when their favourite programme comes on, they are exhibiting trance-like behaviour.

The Buzz is written entirely from the point of view of teenagers – it’s interactive, humorous and relevant to their interests. Like the title suggests, this is basically a confidence builder and many of the techniques used are NLP based– but they are explained in a really simple, straight forward and fun way which directly appeals to young people.

How Hypnotherapy Helped Four-year-old Jessica
Jessica was a bright, happy, confident child and there seemed no obvious reason why she had developed such an intense aversion to using the toilet and still insisted on wearing nappies. Jessica’s mum had tried everything and was at her wits end. She turned to hypnotherapy as a last resort.
